December 16th - Rest in peace, Bob!

December 13th we lost a very good friend, Bob (Robert) Seneca.

We met Bob and Diane in the bar at Daniel's. So many hours together! Many stories told, .. good times! The best was when Bob told us that he had swedish ancestors! How cool is that!

We will miss you Bob!

Part of his obituary :

Robert Seneca of Rotonda West, formerly of Largo, FL and Lyons, IL died Dec. 13, 2010.
Former Fire Commissioner, Bob Seneca, is survived by his wife Diane, married for 27 years and together for 35 years. He is also survived by his daughter,  and 11 grandchildren.
(as a good genealogist on the Internet, no details on the living relatives)

Rest in peace Bob!

We will try to be there as much as we can for Diane!

December 8th - Travelling Nisse...

This mr. Nissen has been out travelling - first twice on his own - back and forth across "the pond" all by himself with the international mailing-system, then back to the US in my suitcase. Now he lives in this nice and warm Florida weather (bah). We had to take in the poinsettas tonight, since they actually expects temperatures down around the freezing point tonight!

December 7th - Lemon Creek Preserve!

Tuesday mornning, cold but nice, and we walked through the woods to meet at the old parking-lot on Wildflower Golf Course.

Nice weather!

Opening up trails and paths

Brazilian Pepper - go away!

Can you see the palmtree in there?

Free palmtree!

Yeah! Finally  the rest has to be removed by saw.

This palmtree is mine! mine mine mine!

Actually I remember there were lots of beautiful palmtrees and other trees out there on the golfcourse.

Green pond ... We did see some birds over at the other side.

Behind Fiddler's Green and I did not even know this pond existed!
